 A characteristic of years of Ukraine's independence is the demographic and ethnic crisis, phenomenon of so-called "cross Ukraine", when mortality, starting in 1991, relentlessly rising and birth rates. The causes of depopulation, its movement require its detailed study. If environmental depopulation of Ukrainians will not stop, to 2050 population of Ukraine may be reduced more than half.
